About Guidie
Explaining software should take one recording, not an afternoon.
Guidie turns one recording of a task in your browser into a step-by-step guide: written instructions, marked-up screenshots and a narrated video. We build it so the people who know how things work can share that knowledge without becoming technical writers.
The problem we're solving
Every team has tasks that someone explains again and again: how to invite a user, file an expense, change a setting. Writing those down well is slow. You take a screenshot for every click, crop it, draw a box around the button, write the text, and do it all over when the screen changes.
So most guides never get written, or they go stale, and the questions keep coming. Guidie does the mechanical part: you do the task once, and the guide writes itself while you watch.
What works today
Free beta- 01
Chrome extension
Records clicks, fields and choices as steps, with a screenshot before each action.
- 02
AI-written steps
One instruction per step, a title, a summary and tips, written by Claude.
- 03
Narrated video
An MP4 with a gliding cursor, outlined steps, subtitles and a voice-over.
How we build it
Private by default
Recording starts only when you press Start, in one tab. Typed text is never sent, password fields are skipped, and sensitive text on screen is flagged for blurring.
AI drafts, you decide
The AI writes the first version of every step. You review it, and you can rewrite or re-voice a single step without redoing the guide.
Your content stays yours
Recordings and guides belong to you. They are never used to train AI models, and you can ask for a copy or deletion at any time.
An independent, founder-led project
Guidie is built independently in the EU, in close contact with the people using the beta. Every message to support is read by the person building the product.
