Terms of service
These terms are an agreement between you and [COMPANY NAME], [COMPANY ADDRESS] ("we", "us"), the operator of Guidie. By creating an account or using the Guidie website, app or Chrome extension, you agree to them. If you use Guidie for your company, you confirm that you're allowed to accept these terms on its behalf.
The beta
Guidie is in a free beta. That means:
- It's free. If we introduce paid plans later, we'll tell you in advance, and nothing becomes paid without your agreement.
- Features may change, break or be removed while we improve the product.
- We may limit usage (for example the number of AI generations) to keep the service running for everyone.
- We may end the beta. If we shut Guidie down, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice so you can export your guides.
Your account
Keep your password safe and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You're responsible for what happens in your account and in workspaces you own. You must be at least 16 to use Guidie.
Your content
Your recordings, screenshots and guides ("your content") belong to you. You give us permission to store, process and display your content only as needed to run Guidie for you and the people you share it with, including sending parts of it to the AI providers described in the privacy policy.
You're responsible for your content. Only record what you have the right to record and share. Screenshots show whatever is on screen, so blur or avoid personal data of other people, confidential information and anything you're not allowed to share.
AI-generated text and voice
Guide text and narration are written by AI from your recording. They can be wrong or incomplete. Check a guide before you rely on it or share it.
Acceptable use
Don't use Guidie to:
- break the law or anyone else's rights, including privacy and intellectual property rights;
- record or share other people's personal data without a legal basis;
- upload malware, or try to break, overload, scrape or get around the security of Guidie;
- access other users' data or accounts;
- resell Guidie or build a competing product from it.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Where reasonable, we'll warn you first.
Our service
Guidie, its software and its design belong to us. You may use them only to use Guidie as intended. Feedback you send us may be used to improve Guidie, with no obligation to you.
Ending your account
You can stop using Guidie at any time and ask us to delete your account at [CONTACT EMAIL]. We may end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or when the beta ends (with notice, see above).
No warranty
Because Guidie is a free beta, it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost: keep your own copies of anything important.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability to you is limited to EUR 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you by email or in the app before they apply. If you keep using Guidie after that, the new terms apply.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of [GOVERNING LAW COUNTRY]. Disputes go to the courts of [GOVERNING LAW COUNTRY], unless consumer law gives you the right to go to the courts where you live.
